Role Snapshot
The Seasonal Visitor Engagement Facilitator enhances the visitor experience at the Exploratorium by providing educational engagement and exemplary customer service across all museum touchpoints. This role serves as both educator and facilitator of informal science and art experiences, functioning as the first point of contact for visitors, members, and groups.
Key Responsibilities: Engage visitors at exhibits, facilitate educational experiences and scientific demonstrations, assist with field trips and programs, handle ticketing/retail/membership transactions, and maintain museum appearance and safety. Provide guest services including accessibility support, lost and found assistance, and emergency procedure participation.
Skills & Tools: Excellent communication and customer service skills, ability to work enthusiastically with large and diverse groups, inquiry-based teaching and facilitation abilities, and knowledge of museum operations and exhibits. Bilingual skills preferred.
Qualifications: Preferred candidates possess experience in visitor services, informal education, or related fields, with a demonstrated commitment to diversity and inclusion. No specific formal education requirement is stated.

Compensation: $25/hr
