Job Description

Novela builds AI-powered marketing simulations used by 50+ business schools, including Columbia, Oxford and INSEAD. We're a small, founder-led team that cares about craft and hands real ownership to the people who join early.

The role

A hands-on role with a creative core, working directly with the founder. The bar is the whole point: anyone can churn out AI content now, and most of it is forgettable. We're hiring someone who makes the opposite β€” exceptional content that stands out, that people come back to, and that works as hard for SEO and GEO as it does on social.

You'll build the content and community around Novela: the ideas and writing that bring marketing professors to us and keep them coming back. You'll also own the marketing execution and customer operations around it.

We're a three-person team, so AI and automation are how we do the work of a much larger one β€” but what we publish has to be genuinely good, not just generated.

What you'll own

The creative core β€” what we're really hiring you for:

  • Content series, articles and resources for our website

  • Webinars, end to end β€” from concept to hosting

  • Content for events, and inventive ways to engage prospects there

  • Supporting content to help our customers teach using our products

  • Building a community around what we do

And the execution around it:

  • LinkedIn and social posts

  • Email marketing

  • Professor-facing teaching materials around the simulations β€” slide decks, syllabus and assessment support, and the resources that help a professor teach a whole course

  • Keeping all of it organised and on schedule

What we're looking for

Must already have:

  • An exceptional content creator β€” anyone can generate content now, but you make the kind people stop for and come back to, and you have a trail of work that proves it. This is the heart of the role.

  • A generator of ideas β€” you turn up with content, webinar and event ideas rather than waiting to be briefed.

  • You write for performance β€” content built to work across social, SEO and GEO, not just to fill a calendar.

  • Fluent with AI, without leaning on it β€” you use it to go faster and further, and you know the gap between forgettable and excellent is the judgement you add on top.

  • Organised and reliable β€” trusted to run the recurring work without it slipping.

  • A bonus if you've made educational or teaching content β€” a course, slide decks, training material β€” not just marketing content.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Digital Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism, English or relevant field.

We'll train:

  • HubSpot and our CRM setup

  • Email marketing structure and cadences

  • Our sales funnel and marketing operations

  • How we onboard professors

  • Claude Cowork/Code

This role would suit you if you've been a Content Marketing Executive, Marketing Executive, Content Marketing Associate, Digital Marketing Executive or Community Marketing Executive in a startup or B2B setting β€” or if you've been making your own content and want to do it for something that matters.

The package

  • Β£32,000–40,000 depending on experience and location, plus share options (EMI)

  • Remote-first (UK), with a couple of days a month together in London

  • Full-time, starting summer 2026

  • You must have the right to work in the UK; as a small company, we can't offer visa sponsorship.
