Key Responsibilities: Configure Epic modules (EpicCare Ambulatory, Inpatient, Orders, MyChart, Willow, Cadence) aligned with clinical workflows, develop build documentation, and perform system and user acceptance testing. Support go-live activities, troubleshoot Epic issues, build reports/dashboards, and collaborate with clinical stakeholders and training teams.
Skills & Tools: 5+ years Epic EHR administration experience with current certification in at least one major module, strong clinical workflow knowledge, and expertise with Epic reporting tools (Reporting Workbench, Radar, Clarity/Caboodle, Crystal Reports). Requires healthcare regulatory knowledge (HIPAA, CMS, Meaningful Use), strong communication abilities, and prior consulting experience.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Health Informatics, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience) with 5+ years Epic EHR administration and proven experience supporting implementations, upgrades, or optimization efforts. Prior consulting experience required for fast-paced client environments with minimal ramp-up.

Job Description

This role is part of our ongoing bench program for upcoming client engagements. We are proactively identifying experienced consultants who can be deployed quickly as new projects are confirmed. While this position is not tied to an immediate start, it represents a strong opportunity to be considered for upcoming work aligned with your expertise and availability.

Please note that prior consulting experience is required, as this role will involve stepping into client environments with minimal ramp-up, working independently, and delivering high-quality outcomes. Qualified candidates will be contacted as relevant projects become available.

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Epic EHR Administrator to support the configuration, optimization, and ongoing maintenance of Epic systems during and after healthcare transformation initiatives. This role serves as a critical bridge between clinical workflows and the Epic environment, ensuring systems are aligned, efficient, and support high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Configure Epic modules (e.g., EpicCare Ambulatory, Inpatient, Orders, MyChart, Willow, Cadence) to align with clinical workflows

  • Develop and maintain Epic build documentation, including configuration specs, testing protocols, and change logs

  • Perform system, integration, and user acceptance testing for configuration updates

  • Troubleshoot and resolve Epic application issues, escalating to Epic technical services when needed

  • Support go-live activities and post-go-live stabilization efforts

  • Build and maintain reports and dashboards using tools such as Reporting Workbench, Radar, or Crystal Reports

  • Collaborate with clinical stakeholders to translate workflow requirements into system configurations

  • Manage system maintenance, including version upgrades and routine updates

  • Partner with training teams to support end-user enablement and documentation

  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations (HIPAA, CMS, Meaningful Use) within system configurations

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of Epic EHR administration experience

  • Current Epic certification in at least one major module (e.g., EpicCare Ambulatory, Inpatient, Orders, Willow, Cadence, MyChart)

  • Experience supporting Epic implementations, upgrades, or optimization efforts

  • Strong understanding of clinical workflows (ambulatory, inpatient, or revenue cycle)

  • Experience with Epic reporting tools (Reporting Workbench, Radar, Clarity/Caboodle, or Crystal Reports)

  • Knowledge of healthcare regulatory requirements (HIPAA, CMS, Meaningful Use)

  • Strong communication skills, with ability to bridge clinical and technical teams

  • Bachelor’s degree in Health Informatics, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
