Summary

The Associate CIO for Student Information Systems provides strategic leadership for enterprise-wide student information system solutions at a large research university, overseeing the development, implementation, and management of Banner and related commercial platforms.

Key Responsibilities: Oversee coordination and integration of comprehensive student information systems (Banner) across the institution, manage services delivered to internal and external stakeholders, and establish technology vision for student-facing enterprise systems.
Skills & Tools: Strategic leadership and technology vision development, enterprise system management and integration, stakeholder management across large organizations, and experience with commercial student information systems and SaaS-based solutions.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a related field plus 12 years of professional experience including 5 years of supervisory experience; preferred qualifications include 5 years in higher education, 3-5 years with Banner student systems, and experience with SaaS-based Enterprise Student Systems.
Location: Athens, Georgia, USA
Compensation: Not provided by employer. Typical compensation for this role is $135,000 – $165,000/year based on title, seniority, and location.

The University of Georgia’s Enterprise Information Technology Services (EITS) is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Associate CIO for Student Information Systems . This role is responsible for establishing the technology vision and providing strategic leadership for the development, implementation, and ongoing management of enterprise-wide information system solutions. The position oversees the coordination and integration of a comprehensive, commercially packaged student information system (BANNER and related products) within a large, research-focused university environment. Additionally, the Associate CIO manages services delivered to internal and external stakeholders across the institution.

Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent plus 12 years of professional experience to include 5 years of supervisory experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5 years of higher education experience
  • 3-5 years of Banner student system experience
  • Experience with SaaS based Enterprise Student Systems
