Tutor Me Education seeks an American Sign Language Specialist to provide 1:1 in-home tutoring for students with special needs in Chatsworth, CA, focusing on personalized and adaptive learning experiences that incorporate ASL, music, and communication development.
Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement individualized learning activities using ASL for communication, incorporate music and rhythm into lessons, utilize visual aids and hands-on activities, and collaborate with caregivers to track progress and align on learning goals.
Skills & Tools: Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) is required, along with experience working with individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities, understanding of adaptive learning methods, and preferred background or interest in music.
Qualifications: Candidates should have ASL proficiency and experience supporting individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities, be patient and engaging, and possess the ability to adapt lessons based on physical and cognitive needs.
