Summary

The Senior Training Manager develops and implements comprehensive training programs for K12 sales teams while ensuring quality assurance and alignment with company goals. This role reports to the VP of Sales and is responsible for strategic planning, program delivery, and performance analysis using AI-driven insights.

Key Responsibilities: Design and deliver engaging training programs, workshops, and e-learning modules for sales and admission teams; facilitate live instructor-led and virtual sessions; leverage LMS for delivery and tracking; analyze sales advisor performance using AI to identify gaps; and partner with operations to ensure training supports business KPIs.
Skills & Tools: Strong knowledge of instructional design, adult learning theories, and training evaluation; excellent communication and presentation abilities; proficiency in LMS and e-learning tools; analytical skills with data-driven decision-making; and demonstrated quality assurance and project management expertise.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Training & Development, Organizational Development, Human Resources, Education, Communication, or Business Administration required; CPLP or CPTD certification preferred; minimum 5 years of training design and delivery experience, ideally in a leadership capacity.

Job Description:

Reporting to the VP of Sales, the senior training manager is part of the K12 Individual sales leadership team and responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive training programs and ensuring the highest level of quality assurance across all aspects of our operations. This role requires strategic planning, project management, exceptional communication skills, and a passion for delivering excellence.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and implement engaging training & professional development programs, workshops, and e-Learning modules for all K12 Individual sales and admission team members
  • Collaborate with department managers to identify training opportunities and implementation of new programs and processes
  • Facilitate live instructor-led and virtual training sessions using effective adult learning techniques (role-play, simulations, microlearning).
  • Leverage Learning Management System (LMS) for training delivery, tracking, and reporting.
  • Own the AI analysis of sales advisor calls with the ability to recognize induvial and team performance, process, and/or training gaps.
  • Conduct needs assessments and analyzes contact center metrics (AHT, QA scores from the AI software, CSAT) to identify skill gaps.
  • Partner with Workforce Management and Operations to ensure training supports KPIs and business goals.
  • Consult with leadership to recommend training strategies for process improvements and technology adoption.
  • Support culture-building initiatives by embedding customer experience and sales excellence into training.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in training and quality assurance to drive innovation and maintain a competitive edge

Qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge of instructional design principles, adult learning theories, and training evaluation methodologies
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex information to diverse audiences
  • Demonstrated experience in quality assurance methodologies, including auditing, compliance, and process improvement
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions
  • Exceptional organizational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously
  • Proven leadership abilities, with the capacity to inspire and motivate teams to achieve goals and drive performance
  • Proficiency in learning management systems (LMS), e-learning authoring tools, and other training technologies
  • May be required to submit a portfolio

Education, Experience, and Training:

  • Bachelor's degree in Training & Development, Organizational Development, Human Resources, Education, Communication, or Business Administration required.
  • Certified Professional in Learning & Peformance (CPLP) or Certified Professional in Talent Development (CPTD), preferred
  • Minimum 5 years experience in designing and delivering training programs required, preferably in a leadership role
  • Experience in the education or travel industry, preferred.
