Role Snapshot
Machine Learning Resident at Dune Engineering focused on applying machine learning, Computer Vision, and OCR to automate information extraction from engineering drawings. A 12-month paid residency with mentorship from world-class AI scientists and potential for permanent hire.
Key Responsibilities: Design, implement, optimize, and evaluate ML models for information extraction, document classification, and object detection tasks. Prepare and preprocess datasets, utilize state-of-the-art ML frameworks, and collaborate with cross-functional teams including researchers and engineers.
Skills & Tools: Solid background in machine learning with expertise in Computer Vision and Optical Character Recognition; proficiency in Python and relevant ML libraries. Strong problem-solving abilities and capacity to work in collaborative research environments.
Qualifications: Completion of a Master's or PhD in Computer Science or related field with specialization in Computer Vision or OCR applications. Demonstrated experience applying machine learning techniques to real-world information extraction problems.

Compensation: CA$70K–CA$100K/yr
