We are seeking a Content Strategist with a passion for localization and technical writing to join our team. How will I make an impact?
- Plan and create multi-lingual content strategies in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Produce high-quality, persona-specific documentation that meets applicable writing and information architecture standards.
- Create accessible gifs and video tutorials to help end-users succeed in their daily tasks.
- Develop and follow style guide and writing guidelines to drive brand consistency.
- Develop, document, and refine standard operating procedures (SOPs) to drive efficiency.
- Work with cross-functional teams to understand product and documentation requirements
- Manage release cycle tasks and assignments within set deadlines.
- Develop, conduct, and track usability tests with internal/external stakeholders.
- Analyze productivity metrics.
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders to address multi-lingual content gaps.
What you’ll bring to the role:
Content Strategy Support
- Assist in developing and implementing content strategies for global audiences.
- Assist in developing and implementing the use of AI to enhance the documentation and process quality.
- Contribute to the creation and management of style guides, glossaries, and templates to ensure consistency across all content.
- Conduct content audits to identify gaps, redundancies, and opportunities for improvement.
Localization and Internationalization
- Collaborate with translators and regional teams to adapt content for different languages and cultures.
- Review and QA localized content to ensure accuracy and cultural relevance.
- Collaborate with translation vendors to maintain translation memories for consistency across regions.
Technical Writing and Documentation
- Write, edit, and organize technical content such as release notes, FAQs, help topics, blog posts, how-to video tutorials, and other media.
- Work closely with developers, product managers, and UX designers to ensure content meets technical and user requirements.
- Update and maintain documentation to reflect new features and user feedback.
Collaboration and Communication
- Work with cross-functional teams to align content with business objectives and user needs.
- Assist in presenting content strategies and findings to stakeholders.
- Provide input on content design and structure to enhance user experience.
Performance Tracking and Improvement
- Use analytics tools to measure the effectiveness of localized and technical content.
- Gather feedback from users and stakeholders to refine and optimize content.
- Stay informed on industry trends and best practices in content strategy, localization, and technical writing.
Suggested Qualifications/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree, technical writing certificate, or equivalent work experience
- Experience in using version control tools such as GitHub
- Experience working with XML-based documentation publishing software, such as MadCap Flare
- Familiarity with localization tools (e.g., SDL Trados, MemoQ), content and learning management systems (CMS and LMS)
- Understanding of SEO principles and analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics)
- Knowledge of programming languages, such as XML, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Excellent project management skills and attention to detail
