Role Snapshot
Support state education agencies in implementing the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) to enhance educational experiences for students with disabilities. Help states improve and document their general supervision systems for special education compliance and outcomes.
Key Responsibilities: Evaluate and refine state general supervision policies, procedures, and practices for IDEA alignment; assist in documentation practices and generating improvement recommendations. Facilitate professional development for state leadership and collaborate on reviewing special education policies and monitoring/data systems.
Skills & Tools: Knowledge of IDEA and special education compliance; effective communication and presentation abilities. Proficiency in designing adult training programs and expertise with special education data systems.
Qualifications: Master's degree in education preferred with at least five years of relevant experience in special education or IDEA compliance. Expertise in IDEA compliance and data systems related to special education required.

Compensation: $92K–$143K/yr
