Role Snapshot

Accelerate Education seeks an experienced E-Learning Virtual K-12 World Language Instructional Designer to create high-quality online curriculum using ADDIE and backwards design methodologies. The role involves designing interactive lessons aligned with national and state standards while managing subject matter experts and collaborating with designers.

Key Responsibilities: Design curriculum maps and learning objectives aligned to standards, direct subject matter experts to produce assessments and content, edit pre- and post-production materials, and lead QA efforts to ensure error-free content. Work with graphic and web designers to develop interactives and fill standards alignment gaps.
Skills & Tools: Expertise in instructional design (ADDIE model and backwards design), K-12 world language curriculum development, and online learning design. Strong project management, communication, and ability to work virtually with cross-functional teams.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree required. Minimum 3 years each of teaching experience, instructional design experience, managing subject matter experts, and teaching a world language.
Location: Remote
Compensation: $30–$40/hr

Accelerate Education, a leader in Online K-12 Education seeking an experienced World Language Instructional Designer.

Accelerate Education is a nationwide provider of K-12 online curriculum and instruction. Employees, teachers, and students of Accelerate Education work virtually across the country. Applicant must have instructional design experience or background and can apply the ADDIE model or backwards design using the national standards as well as individual state standards. We are not looking for web or graphics designers - we truly need someone with a full grasp on instruction and how to craft a lesson that is most beneficial to online students. ID will sometimes also act as the subject matter expert (SME) and sometimes work with SME’s and graphic designers to produce an interactive and high-quality curriculum. Must be available during the daytime to meet virtually with team members. Samples will be required during the interview process. \*\Background Checks are required as part of our hiring process for this role\\*
  • *Tasks include:**
· Follow budget and timeline

· Create a curriculum map using standards

· Write objectives and design instruction to meet those objectives

· Using existing lesson specs, direct SME's to produce assessments and content for courses

· Edit material pre and post-production

· Fill gaps in standards alignment with appropriate lesson content, including assessments

· Work with graphic & web designers to develop interactives

· Lead QA effort to ensure error-free content
