Role Snapshot
The Chief Financial Officer will be a key strategic leader at Achievement Network, reporting to the CEO and responsible for leading the People & Operations team to enable organizational health, financial sustainability, and execution of multi-year strategy. This high-leverage role sits at the nexus of organizational strategy, enterprise risk management, and culture-building.
Key Responsibilities: Lead and develop the People & Operations team across Finance, Legal, Talent, and Technology; serve as primary liaison to the Board's Finance & Audit Committees; drive cross-functional coherence and steward financial sustainability. Set enterprise-level priorities, guide talent strategy and compensation policies, and represent ANet externally with funders and strategic partners.
Skills & Tools: Executive leadership, strategic planning, financial strategy and analysis, and understanding of nonprofit business models. Strong cross-functional leadership, thought partnership capabilities, and ability to champion organizational values and culture-building.
Qualifications: 15+ years of experience in finance and operations with prior executive leadership experience in similar organizations. Preferred qualifications include CPA or MBA and familiarity with the K-12 education sector.
