The Royalty Contracts Associate creates and maintains ISBN documentation while analyzing contracts to support the royalty linking and payment process. This role serves as a critical liaison between editorial, product management, and business units to ensure accurate royalty processing and corporate compliance.

Key Responsibilities: Enter and maintain ISBN information in PCS systems, analyze contracts and amendments to determine author payments, clear royalty sales suspense items, and respond to inquiries from internal business units and legal departments. The role includes identifying process improvements and providing support to the Royalty Contract Administrator under time-sensitive deadlines.
Skills & Tools: Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, exceptional attention to detail, strong research and analytical abilities, and competency in interpreting legal documents. Required soft skills include effective verbal and written communication, strong organizational abilities, customer service orientation, time management, and capability to work independently and collaboratively across teams.
Qualifications: Four-year college degree is desirable or equivalent work experience. Extensive data entry experience with high accuracy is required, with preferred experience in customer service and demonstrated strong math skills.

Job Description

The Royalty Contracts Associate is responsible for creating ISBNs for various stakeholders in PCS and creating documentation that will be used to support the royalty linking process. The Associate must effectively interact with and maintain a strong customer service relationship with editors, product management, and business units. The individual must be able to work under pressure and meet time-sensitive deadlines to fulfill corporate and legal obligations.
Primary Responsibilities

Enter and maintain ISBN information in PCS
Analyze and interpret contracts and amendments (to determine Author payments)
Clear royalty sales suspense items.
Respond/resolve inquiries/requests from business units; editorial groups; legal department; contracts department and other groups from inside the company.
Identify and participate in continuous process improvements.
Work on special projects as needed.
Provide general support to the Royalty Contract Administrator

Qualifications
Required Knowledge and Experience

Extensive data entry experience with high degree of accuracy.

Education

Four-year college degree is desirable, or equivalent work experience
