Summary

The Global Strategic Policy Lead will spearhead global advocacy and policy initiatives for Save the Children International, serving as the primary strategist to advance humanitarian and political efforts focused on ceasefire, humanitarian access, and reconstruction in Gaza. This high-profile, externally-facing role will position the organization as a credible actor in international policy spaces while managing relationships with governments, UN entities, and regional bodies.

Key Responsibilities: Design and implement a 5-year global advocacy strategy, facilitate high-level diplomatic engagements with governments and UN entities, and ensure alignment of advocacy efforts across partner coalitions. Cultivate and manage relationships with key stakeholders, provide strategic oversight of coalition advocacy in key markets, and pursue targeted bilateral advocacy to expand the campaign's reach and influence.
Skills & Tools: Exceptional political judgment, strong coalition-building capabilities, and extensive experience in international advocacy or humanitarian diplomacy are essential. Outstanding communication abilities, strategic thinking, and experience in coordinating cross-organizational initiatives are required.
Qualifications: A degree in International Relations, Human Rights, or a related field is essential, with a Master's degree highly desirable. Proficiency in Arabic or another UN language is desirable, along with demonstrated experience in high-level policy advocacy and diplomatic engagement.
Location: Hybrid in New York, New York, United States (role holder must be available in New York Time Zone)
Compensation: $95,000 – $145,000/year
