The Senior Instructional Technologist drives digital fluency across NYU by partnering with faculty to integrate creative multimedia and emerging technologies into the curriculum. This role provides consultations, designs workshops, and ensures the SPARK Lab's technology and resources remain cutting-edge.

Key Responsibilities: Provides consultations to faculty and students on educational technology integration, designs and delivers scalable workshops, and coordinates with educational technology units across the university. Mentors colleagues, shapes departmental processes, and aligns lab services with broader university educational goals.
Skills & Tools: Requires excellent communication skills for non-technical audiences, strong project management and technical leadership abilities, and proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud applications. Must demonstrate expertise in applying educational design principles and managing multiple simultaneous projects.
Qualifications: Requires a Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field around education and technology. Requires 5+ years of experience in educational technologies, creative technologies, and customer support, preferably in IT, with demonstrated multimedia creation and educational design application skills.

Compensation: $105K–$125K/yr

The Senior Instructional Technologist drives digital fluency across NYU by partnering with faculty to integrate creative multimedia and emerging technologies into the curriculum. Based in the SPARK Lab, this role provides consultations to faculty and students, designs scalable workshops, and ensures the lab's technology and learning resources are cutting-edge. As a key collaborator and mentor, they align lab services with broader university educational goals, shape emerging departmental processes, and coordinate with educational technology units across the university.

Qualifications

Required Education:
Bachelor's Degree Relevant field around education and technology

Required Experience:
5+ years Experience in work related to educational technologies, creative technologies, and customer support, preferably in an IT field. Experience creating multimedia using Adobe Creative Cloud applications. Experience applying educational design principles to various visual and media elements. Experience working on a variety of projects simultaneously.

Preferred Experience:

Additional Information

In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $105,000.00 to USD $125,000.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
