Skills & Tools: Instructional leadership, coaching expertise, curriculum design, data analysis, professional learning facilitation, and change management. Strong relationship-building skills, instructional credibility, and experience with high-quality instructional materials implementation required.
Qualifications: Seven or more years of professional education experience including teaching and/or instructional leadership with demonstrated coaching experience. Deep experience implementing high-quality instructional materials, preferably with prior involvement in LIFT or LASO initiatives.
Location: Texas, United States (must reside in Texas); position requires regular travel to partner districts and schools across priority regions including Dallas-Fort Worth, Austin, Houston, San Antonio, Rio Grande Valley, El Paso, Corpus Christi, and Permian Basin
Compensation: $100,320 – $127,680 / annually

Design and Coaching Specialist

LIFT Initiative

Leading Educators is building a Texas based candidate pool in anticipation of upcoming partnerships with school systems across the state through LIFT, a statewide initiative designed to strengthen instructional leadership, support high quality instructional materials, and build educator and leader capacity.

As an implementation partner for LIFT, Leading Educators supports districts and schools to successfully adopt and implement Bluebonnet curriculum, including:

  • Bluebonnet Math K to 5
  • Bluebonnet Secondary Math 6 to 8 and Algebra I
  • Bluebonnet RLA K to 5

About the Role

The Design and Coaching Specialist ensures that our programming makes a measurable impact on teacher practice and instructional leadership at the school level. This role blends intensive coaching with high quality professional learning design.

Key elements of the role may include:

  • Providing direct coaching to teachers, teacher leaders, school leaders, and instructional leadership teams
  • Conducting classroom observations and delivering actionable curriculum specific feedback
  • Modeling lessons or instructional strategies when needed
  • Facilitating unit internalization sessions, PLCs, and instructional planning conversations
  • Designing curriculum aligned professional learning tools, sessions, and resources
  • Supporting schools in analyzing student work, instructional data, and assessment results
  • Aligning professional learning design to real time coaching insights
  • Building campus capacity to sustain HQIM implementation beyond the grant period
  • Supporting change management associated with curriculum adoption

This role ensures that school based support translates into stronger instructional practice and measurable student impact.

Who We Are Looking For

We are particularly interested in instructional leaders who bring:

  • Seven or more years of professional experience in education, including teaching and or instructional leadership
  • Demonstrated experience coaching teachers, teacher leaders, or school leaders
  • Experience designing and facilitating professional learning aligned to curriculum and observable instructional practice
  • Experience analyzing student work and classroom data to inform coaching decisions
  • Deep experience implementing high quality instructional materials, especially Bluebonnet
  • Prior experience with LIFT and or LASO initiatives
  • Strong relationship building skills and instructional credibility

Location and Travel

Candidates must reside in Texas.

This role requires regular travel to partner districts and schools.

Compensation If Roles Open

Base salary range: 100,320 to 127,680

Typical starting salary: approximately 114,000
