Role Snapshot
Lead high-impact research initiatives at Common Sense Media to understand how AI influences child development and family technology use, driving policy change and establishing the organization as a thought leader in AI and youth.
Key Responsibilities: Design and manage comprehensive research projects from landscape studies to public opinion polls, manage external research partners and contractors, and translate findings into policy briefs and media messaging for lawmakers and the public.
Skills & Tools: Expertise in quantitative and qualitative research methods including survey design and statistical analysis, strong communication skills for diverse audiences, and ability to balance academic rigor with speed and accessibility in research execution.
Qualifications: PhD or master's degree in a relevant field preferred with 10+ years of research experience, plus background in child development, policy, or advocacy environments.
Location: San Francisco, California
Compensation: $111K–$132K/yr
