The Senior Director of Enterprise Applications is responsible for leading the strategic planning, development, implementation, integration, and management of enterprise applications including academic and administrative systems. This role is critical in supporting LMU's mission to foster a diverse academic community rich in opportunities for intellectual engagement and real-world experience. The Senior Director will work closely with various departments to ensure that enterprise applications align with the university's goals and provide a remarkably optimal user experience for students, faculty, and staff.

Position Specific Responsibilities/Accountabilities
- Strategic Planning: Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy for enterprise applications that supports LMU's mission and strategic priorities. Collaborate with university leadership to identify and prioritize application needs. Promote and facilitate modern and client-centric experiences resulting from a highly integrated and effective enterprise applications support team.
- Application Management: Oversee the lifecycle of enterprise applications, including selection, implementation, maintenance, upgrades, and retirement of custom and cloud applications, web and mobile applications, and ERP Systems. Ensure applications are reliable, secure, and meet the needs of the university community. Explore innovations and trends in technology for institutional applicability.
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of IT professionals, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Plan and lead efforts to promote employee engagement and staff development. Provide guidance and support to ensure the team's readiness and success in delivering high-quality services.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including academic and administrative departments. Engage in regular dialogue to understand their needs and ensure that enterprise applications support their goals. Serve as a leader and member of institutional committees and professional groups.
- Administration and Operations Excellence: Work with subordinate team managers/supervisors to ensure operational excellence as well as team growth and engagement. Build and maintain effective partnerships with stakeholders from ITS, academic and administrative units, libraries, auxiliary services, and other organizations to achieve mutual goals. Establish and track departmental goals, objectives, and budgets, considering emerging trends and customer satisfaction to guide future programs and initiatives.
- Project Delivery: Plan and manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the satisfaction of stakeholders. Utilize best practices in key disciplines including user experience design, iterative development, project management, change management, business analysis, and enterprise architecture to achieve successful outcomes.
- Vendor Management: Collaborate with external vendors and partners to ensure the successful delivery and support of enterprise applications. Negotiate contracts and manage vendor relationships to achieve optimal performance and value.
- Compliance and Security: Ensure that enterprise applications comply with university policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements. Implement robust security measures to protect sensitive data and maintain the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of applications.
- Innovation and Improvement: Stay current with emerging trends and technologies in enterprise applications. Identify opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement to enhance the university's digital capabilities.

Requisite Qualifications
- Typically a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in IT management, with a focus on enterprise applications.
- Experience in higher education or a similar environment is highly desirable.
- Experience with Ellucian Banner, Workday, Salesforce, Slate, Service Now, Microsoft platform, AWS, and Artificial Intelligence is highly desirable.
- Proven track record of successfully leading and managing IT teams and projects.
- Strong understanding of enterprise application architecture, development, integration, and maintenance.
- Demonstrated experience with IT Service Management, Business Analysis, Project Management, Agile Development, Testing Management, and System Development Lifecycle Management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to think strategically and align IT initiatives with organizational goals.

Salary range
$143,100.00 - $200,300.00 Salary commensurate with education and experience.
