The Senior Content Developer converts instructional designer storyboards into fully functional, interactive e-learning courses deployed on LMS/CMS platforms. This role combines technical development expertise with educational technology knowledge to deliver high-quality learning experiences.

Key Responsibilities: Build and deploy interactive e-learning courses using LMS platforms (Canvas, Blackboard, Moodle, Brightspace) and authoring tools; implement assessments, perform QA testing, and manage course publishing. Customize content using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript; integrate widgets and debug issues while maintaining accessibility standards.
Skills & Tools: Proficiency with major authoring tools (Articulate Storyline/Rise, Adobe Captivate, Lectora); working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript; expertise in assessment authoring platforms, SCORM, xAPI, and LTI standards. Strong understanding of LMS gradebook workflows and WCAG accessibility fundamentals.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience. 4–6 years of hands-on e-learning content development and LMS deployment experience.
Compensation: Not provided by employer. Typical compensation for this role is $75,000 – $105,000/year based on senior-level e-learning development expertise, 4–6 years experience, and EdTech industry standards.

Job Description:
The Senior Content Developer builds high-quality e-learning courses on LMSs/CMSs and assessment platforms by converting Instructional Designer storyboards and graphic design assets into fully functional, interactive learning experiences. The role requires strong hands-on experience with LMSs and authoring tools, including course setup, assessments, publishing, and QA. Candidates should have working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to support content customization and integrations.
Skills Required:
  • 4–6 years building e-learning content and deploying in LMS environments (Canvas, Blackboard, Moodle, Brightspace, etc.).
  • Hands-on experience with assessment authoring platforms (implementing items/assessments)
  • Proficient with at least one major authoring tool (Articulate Storyline/Rise, Adobe Captivate, Lectora, etc.).
  • Working knowledge of HTML, CSS and JavaScript for content tweaks, embedding widgets, and debugging. (Not front-end engineering; practical scripting only).
  • Familiarity with SCORM, xAPI (Tin Can), LTI basics, and LMS gradebook/reporting workflows.
  • Experience with basic accessibility checks (WCAG fundamentals).
Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field — or equivalent practical experience
