If so, then Committee for Children is an amazing place to grow your career as a Principal Data Architect. We’re a social enterprise dedicated to advancing the well-being of children through the development of essential human skills. As a Principal Data Architect at CFC, you’ll serve as both the strategic lead and working architect for Committee for Children’s organization-wide data architecture. This role sets the vision, standards, and governance practices for how data is structured, integrated, secured, and used across the organization, while also directly designing and refining data models, schemas, and integration patterns in partnership with delivery teams. The Principal Data Architect ensures that data across platforms, business systems, and programs is consistent, well-documented, and accessible for analytics, reporting, research, and emerging automation and AI use cases.
At Committee for Children, data includes operational system data (such as CRM, ERP, marketing automation, licensing, and learning platforms), product usage data, and research and evaluation data. The Principal Data Architect collaborates with engineering, business systems, research, IT, and business stakeholders to translate organizational needs into scalable data structures and integration patterns, embedding security, privacy, and compliance into the architecture.
Our team is collaborative, creative, and passionate about our work. You’ll have an opportunity to make an impact every day and have a say in the way we use client success to transform the lives of children.
What you’ll do when you join us:

Data Quality, Security, Privacy & Compliance
- Embed privacy, security, and compliance requirements directly into data models and integrations
- Partner with IT, security, and legal teams to align architecture with regulatory and policy requirements
- Ensure privacy and security protocols, including field-level encryption, role-based access control, deletion, and auditing are architected into and consistently supported across CFC’s data architecture
- Define data quality standards and validation strategies, including management of schema drift over time
Enablement & Collaboration
- Work closely with engineers, analysts, researchers, data stewards, and business partners
- Serve as a subject-matter expert on CFC’s data architecture
- Communicate complex data concepts clearly to diverse audiences
