Role Snapshot
The On-Call Senior Image Researcher sources, curates, and licenses high-quality imagery that is culturally representative and on-brand for the Exploratorium's projects. This role is critical for ensuring visual content meets project needs while maintaining ethical, compliant, and visually compelling standards.
Key Responsibilities: Conduct extensive photo and video research with emphasis on international and cross-cultural storytelling, manage relationships with photographers and image providers, negotiate licensing agreements, and oversee image delivery across concurrent projects with minimal supervision.
Skills & Tools: Advanced negotiation and communication abilities, proficiency in digital asset management systems, and expertise in Adobe Creative Suite (Bridge, Photoshop, Lightroom) are essential, along with strong organizational and visual storytelling skills with cultural fluency.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience plus five years in image research or curation, preferably with international projects.

Compensation: $41/hr
