Associate Client Success BDR at Watermark helps higher education institutions adopt innovative assessment software by building relationships with low-spend clients and driving sales opportunities for expansion.

Key Responsibilities: Build strong relationships with low-spend clients to drive upsells and cross-sells, create pipeline through demand generation efforts, collaborate on account strategies, and document client interactions while identifying risks and ensuring adoption goals are met.
Skills & Tools: Strong interpersonal and communication skills at all levels, ability to work both independently and collaboratively, quick knowledge absorption, capability to multitask and reprioritize in a fast-changing environment, and experience presenting to audiences virtually and in-person.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in business or related field with 1-2 years of experience growing client portfolios through upsells and cross-sells; preferred experience in sales or account management and knowledge of higher education processes.

Compensation: $65K–$70K/yr

Job Description

Key Requirements For the Role

  • 1-2 years prior experience growing a portfolio of clients including upsell and cross-sell
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field
  • Ability to flourish in a multi-tasking environment, comfortably re-adjusting priorities as needed
  • Ability to work both independently and in collaborative and/or team settings, taking ownership of assigned tasks
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to communicate efficiently with individuals at all levels
  • Ability to absorb knowledge quickly, work well under pressure, and thrive in an environment that is constantly changing
  • Preference for those with experience in Sales or Account Management
  • Preference for those who possess knowledge of higher education processes and culture
  • Experience presenting to audiences of all sizes, both in-person and virtually
  • Willing and able to travel periodically (3-4 trips, annually)
  • A high level of competence in communication, critical thinking, reasoning, as well as computer skills

Watermark is committed to fair and equitable pay practices for all qualified candidates. The pay range for this role is $65K - 70K (with a $30K commission potential) and varies based on several factors including geographical location, level of experience related to the role, education/ licensure/certificates of the individual filling the role and other business and operational considerations. Candidates must prove authorization to work in the US.
