Lightcast is seeking a detail-oriented Data Analyst with Polish language expertise to support multilingual product expansion by analyzing classifier outputs, improving data quality, and developing language-specific parsers. This full-time independent contractor role focuses on ensuring accurate, high-quality data delivery to customers across a 6-month engagement.

Key Responsibilities: Analyze and evaluate multilingual text classifier outputs to improve quality, partner with linguistics and engineering teams to develop language-specific parsers, and translate/validate taxonomy content (Skills, Titles, Occupations) between English and Polish. Document findings, identify error patterns, and contribute to improvements in rules, logic, and workflows while maintaining consistency and accuracy.
Skills & Tools: Fluency in English and Polish with strong linguistic attention to detail, proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUPs, functions, data cleanup), SQL query language knowledge, and advanced RegEx rule writing/debugging skills. Familiarity with text analysis, NLP, machine learning fundamentals, Python, and ability to work independently with high-volume repetitive tasks while maintaining focus and organization.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Linguistics, Data Analytics, NLP, or related field preferred; fluency in reading and writing English and Polish with understanding of syntax and structural language analysis required. Demonstrated experience performing data analysis using Excel and/or Python, with comfort working independently on complex tasks while managing ambiguity and following detailed instructions.

Compensation: zł72K–zł96K/yr (estimated)

Job Description

Lightcast is seeking detail-oriented, data-driven professionals with strong Polish language skills to support the expansion of our global product features. In this role, you will help ensure we deliver accurate, high-quality data to our customers by analyzing multilingual outputs, improving classification performance, and supporting taxonomy translation and parser development. This is a full-time (40 hrs/week) independent contractor position for up to 6 months. This role is BYOD—Bring Your Own Device (laptop).   Major Responsibilities: :
  • Analyze, evaluate, and improve the quality of multilingual text classifier outputs.

  • Partner with linguistics and engineering teams to develop and refine language-specific parsers.

  • Translate and validate taxonomy content such as Skills, Titles, and Occupations from English to Polish (and/or Polish to English as needed).

  • Identify patterns in data errors and contribute to ongoing improvements in rules, logic, and workflows.

  • Document findings clearly and follow established processes to ensure consistency and quality.

  • Education & Experience: :
  • Bachelor’s degree in Linguistics, Data Analytics, NLP, or a related field (preferred).

  • Fluency in reading and writing English and Polish, with strong attention to linguistic detail.

  • Understanding of syntax and structural language analysis.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including VLOOKUPs, functions, and data cleanup).

  • Working knowledge of query languages such as SQL.

  • Advanced experience writing and debugging rules using RegEx.

  • Familiarity with text analysis, NLP, or machine learning fundamentals.

  • Experience performing data analysis using tools such as Excel and/or Python.

  • Comfort working with high-volume, repetitive tasks while maintaining accuracy and focus.

  • Ability to follow complex instructions, navigate ambiguity, and work independently.

  • Strong sense of urgency, organization, and time management.

  • Reliable laptop and stable internet access.
