Skills & Tools: Strong organizational and communication abilities; experience with student affairs assessment and program coordination; capability to manage multiple stakeholder relationships; crisis response and conduct management competencies; ability to work in a live-on residential setting.
Qualifications: Typically requires a bachelor's degree in higher education, student affairs, or related field; 1-3 years of experience in student affairs, residential education, or academic support roles preferred.

Job Description
Reporting to the Assistant Director for Academic Initiatives & Assessment the Coordinator for Academic Initiatives is primarily responsible for overseeing the day-to-day academic support functions of the residential education program within the residence halls. In conjunction with the Assistant Director for Academic Initiatives & Assessment, the position assists in coordinating Academic and assessment Initiatives; collaborates with a wide variety of campus offices to provide academic support for the retention of on-campus students; addresses individual student and parent problems; and enforces policies, procedures, and regulations. This position also assists with coordination of retention outreach efforts in conjunction with the Student and Campus Life Retention Outreach team. This full-time live on position will also serve as a Conduct Educator and participate in the emergency response on-call duty rotation. Lastly, this position, in conjunction with the Assistant Director for Academic Initiatives & Assessment, assists with the planning and implementation of Residential Curriculum, as well as supporting assessment efforts pertaining to these areas as well.
