Summary
Senior Data Infrastructure Engineer at Evolv Technology responsible for building and maintaining scalable data pipelines for AI/ML systems, owning the end-to-end data lifecycle from edge device collection through cloud processing. This role is critical to enabling the company's AI-based weapon detection systems with reliable, secure, and high-quality data infrastructure.
Skills & Tools: Proficiency in Python and C++, hands-on experience with AWS services (S3, EC2, Lambda, Glue, Step Functions, SageMaker), and expertise in data governance and distributed data processing frameworks. Strong cross-functional collaboration skills and ability to design resilient systems handling variable connectivity and device heterogeneity.
Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field with 2-3 years of experience building production data pipelines for AI/ML applications. Demonstrated expertise in cloud-based data infrastructure and understanding of privacy, security, and data quality requirements at scale.
Location: Hybrid in Waltham, Massachusetts, United States (60% onsite)
Compensation: $129,000 – $209,000 / annually
