Summary

Lead the planning and execution of large-scale events (500-1500 attendees) for Western Governors University while fostering teamwork and collaboration to create impactful experiences for students and staff. Provide coaching and support to junior event planners and contribute to the professional development of the team.

Key Responsibilities: Plan and execute large events, manage vendor relationships, coordinate logistics, conduct stakeholder meetings, and ensure events meet objectives and budgets. Lead production meetings and provide logistical expertise and support for university-wide events.
Skills & Tools: Strong project management and leadership abilities, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office and cloud applications, creative thinking, and ability to manage multiple concurrent projects.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a related field and 6+ years of event planning experience required.
Location: Salt Lake City, Utah, United States with travel required 3 times per year.
Compensation: $73,000 – $109,400 / annually
