Role Snapshot

Tarleton State University seeks a full-time Archivist to manage the operations of the Archives department, overseeing the preservation and accessibility of collections while promoting engagement with the university community and donor relationships.

Key Responsibilities: Process, preserve, and provide access to physical archive collections using best practices; conduct appraisal, arrangement, description, and digitization activities; maintain donor relationships and collaborate with campus/community partners; supervise student assistants and manage archival records and statistics.
Skills & Tools: Strong knowledge of archival practices and DACS standards; proficiency in library and archival software and MARC cataloging; excellent communication, interpersonal, and project management skills.
Qualifications: Master's degree in library/information science with archival studies emphasis required; two years of related experience in an academic library or archive preferred.
Location: Stephenville, Texas
Compensation: $45K–$65K/yr
