Role Snapshot

This is a general interest application for Art of Problem Solving (AoPS), welcoming diverse problem solvers to join their mission of training the next generation of leaders. Candidates can express interest across multiple departments including curriculum writing, product design, software engineering, teaching, and customer service.

Key Responsibilities: Responsibilities vary by department but may include developing educational curriculum, designing products, managing product strategy, writing software, providing customer support, or teaching advanced problem-solving concepts to top students.
Skills & Tools: Required skills depend on the specific role applied for but generally include strong problem-solving abilities, creativity, communication, and technical proficiency in relevant areas such as software engineering, product design, or curriculum development.
Qualifications: Qualifications vary by department but typically require relevant experience or demonstrated interest in one of the focus areas (curriculum writing, customer service, product design, product management, software engineering, or teaching). Must be legally authorized to work in the US with no visa sponsorship available.
Location: In-Person - San Diego, CA
Compensation: $55K–$85K/yr (estimated)

About AoPS:

Art of Problem Solving (AoPS) is on a mission to discover, inspire, and train the great problem solvers of the next generation. Since 2003, we have trained hundreds of thousands of the country’s top students, including nearly all the members of the US International Math Olympiad team, through our online school, in-person academies, textbooks, and online learning systems. While our primary focus has been math for most of our history, through the years we have expanded our unique problem solving curriculum into more subjects, such as language arts, science, and computer science.
