Summary

Remote mental health therapist role providing evidence-based teletherapy to students ages 11-24 in California. Part of Daybreak Health's mission to make quality mental healthcare accessible to every student.

Skills & Tools: Licensed as LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in California with demonstrated proficiency in telehealth services. Passion for youth mental health with ability to provide culturally responsive, equitable care.
Qualifications: Fully licensed mental health clinician (LCSW, LPCC, LMFT, or LP) in California with experience working with ages 11-24 in clinical or school settings. Associate and provisionally licensed clinicians are not eligible.
Location: Fully remote from California, United States with flexible Monday-Friday hours 3-8 PM PST and optional weekend availability
Compensation: $55,000 – $115,000 / annually

Job Description

Flexibility & Clinical Support

  • Fully Remote: Work from anywhere in the U.S.
  • Flexible Schedule: Set your hours Monday–Friday, 3–8 PM PST, with optional weekend availability from 9 AM–5 PM PST
  • Manageable Caseload: Minimum of 25 weekly time slots with at least 17 completed sessions per week (averaged monthly) to retain base salary and benefits
  • Admin Support: We handle billing, credentialing, and scheduling—so you can focus on care
  • Clinical Community: Access to peer consultation, collaborative networks, and team discussions

Role & Responsibilities

  • Foster strong, supportive relationships with students to create a safe therapeutic environment
  • Provide evidence-based individual teletherapy to students ages 11–24 experiencing mild-to-moderate mental health conditions
  • Provide psychoeducation to parents/caregivers

Qualifications

  • Licensed Professional with LCSW, LPCC, LMFT, or LP credentials in the State of California
  • Passion for youth mental health: Demonstrated commitment to providing culturally responsive, equitable care that honors diverse backgrounds and experiences
  • Experience working with teens and youth ages 11-24 in clinical or school settings
  • Comfortable with telehealth: Experience providing telehealth services

Please note: This role is open to fully licensed clinicians only; associate and provisionally licensed clinicians are not eligible.
