Role Snapshot

Senior Academic Designer for K-5 Science at McGraw Hill responsible for developing high-quality educational content and curriculum in a remote setting. The role focuses on creating products that enhance student learning experiences and align with educational standards.

Key Responsibilities: Create and guide team members to produce accurate, high-quality content meeting curriculum standards (NGSS, CCSS); train and mentor Academic Designers on content development guidelines. Develop content including prototypes, learning objectives, lessons, and teacher resources while managing vendors and freelancers to ensure quality and timeline adherence.
Skills & Tools: Strong curriculum development expertise for Grades K-5 with excellent verbal and written communication skills, including command of English, spelling, and grammar. Highly organized, goal-oriented, collaborative with ability to mentor others, prioritize multitasks, and demonstrate flexibility in an Agile environment.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in elementary education, literacy, science, or related field with minimum 10 years of experience in curriculum development and educational publishing focused on Grades K-5.
Location: United States
Compensation: $62K–$70K/yr
