Summary

Campus seeks dedicated Teaching Assistants to support live, online college IT and technical courses, helping students from diverse and historically underserved communities stay engaged and succeed throughout 11-week terms.

Key Responsibilities: Grade assignments for 30-40 students, mentor and coach learners in technical skills, lead discussion sections, host weekly office hours, and communicate regularly with students to maintain motivation and academic progress.
Skills & Tools: Required: comfort with online education platforms and technical subject matter. Preferred: experience in IT support, cybersecurity, systems, or software, along with strong mentoring and communication abilities.
Qualifications: Required: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Technology, or related field, plus experience teaching, tutoring, or training in technical subjects. Preferred: current pursuit of graduate degree or active role in technical/business field.
Location: Remote
Compensation: $1,185 – $2,000/month (per 11-week quarter based on course credits)

About the Role

Campus is hiring dedicated, student-centered Teaching Assistants to support our live, online college courses. As a TA, you’ll play a key role in building meaningful relationships with students, helping them stay engaged, organized, and on track throughout the term. This role is ideal for aspiring educators, graduate students, and professionals who want to make a real impact on students from all backgrounds, especially those historically underserved by higher education.

TAs are integrated into the instructional team and work closely with the Instructor to ensure students receive timely feedback and academic support.

Academic Responsibilities and Essential Functions

  • Support and grade assignments for a group of 30-40 students in an 11-week online course

  • Act as a mentor and coach to students as they learn new skills and develop as professionals

  • Attend lectures within the 11-week online course

  • Lead discussion sections to reinforce key concepts

  • Host weekly office hours to deepen student understanding and build community.

  • Communicate with students regularly and respond to messages in a timely manner

  • Help students stay motivated and build strong academic habits

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Technology, or related field

  • Experience teaching, tutoring, or training in technical subjects

  • Comfort using online education tools and platforms

Preferred:

  • Currently pursuing a graduate degree or working in a technical/business role

  • Experience in IT support, cybersecurity, systems, or software

  • Previous experience in online teaching or facilitation

  • Willingness to TA for future quarters and/or multiple sections

Compensation

  • $2,000 per 4-credit course/11 week quarter

  • $1,185 per 1-2 credit course/11 week quarter
