Job Description

Job Description We are looking for a Senior Director of Product Management who leads with product instinct, operates with AI tools as core infrastructure, and has a track record of transforming product lines, not just managing them. This role is built for a product leader with genuine AI fluency who uses it to operate at a different level — compressing research cycles, accelerating decision-making, and raising the floor on what the product team produces. You will define multi-year strategy across a product family, develop the leaders under you, and drive alignment from engineering through go-to-market. This role needs to focus on anticipating where the market is heading and transforming the product to lead it, not just planning a longer roadmap. Your work will make a real difference, helping our customers reach their goals and driving Momentive’s growth forward. This role leads product strategy for MIP Accounting, Momentive’s accounting platform for nonprofits, associations, and government organizations — purpose-built for the fund structures, grant tracking, compliance, and reporting these mission-driven organizations depend on. This position reports to the Vice President of Product Management.

Key Responsibilities: Formulate a bold, opinionated vision for where fund accounting and financial management are heading for mission-driven organizations, and translate it into a multi-year product strategy aligned to Momentive’s platform vision (including MomentiveIQ and AI-powered capabilities) that creates clear, measurable value for both customers and the business. Distinguish category-defining bets from incremental improvements, with the conviction to reimagine what the product can be, not just optimize what it already does.

Think architecturally: build capabilities that solve multiple problems, including where AI creates transformative value. Own product family roadmap creation, dependency tracking, and delivery status. Support Product Managers and Product Owners in building initiatives and epics — keeping teams aligned, hitting milestones, and using AI-powered analytics to track whether delivery translates into adoption, retention, and revenue. Partner with business leadership to connect roadmaps to company objectives. Develop compelling business cases for strategic investment — including market research, competitive positioning, pricing, and ROI — and present strategies and performance updates to executive leadership with clarity and conviction. Use AI tools as core tools in your daily work — not as novelties, but as force multipliers for research, analysis, communication, and decision-making: Compress discovery and validation cycles by using AI to synthesize feedback, analyze competitive landscapes, and generate first-draft artifacts (strategy docs, PRDs) you refine with product judgment — arriving at planning discussions with working analyses and a clear point of view, not just slide decks.

Use AI for rapid prototyping: build working prototypes to put in front of clients and validate direction early and often. Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing product team — including Product Managers and Product Owners — with hands-on coaching, performance feedback, and career development. Own succession planning. Build a bench. Engage with Engineering, Architecture, and R&D to define technical implementation strategies that balance innovation ambitions with time-to-market realities. Partner closely with Product Marketing and

Org Readiness to drive the full product lifecycle: market analysis, positioning, messaging, pricing, and go-to-market execution across multiple product lines. Champion best practices across the product team — driving portfolio governance, tooling standards, and AI-assisted workflows that accelerate delivery and raise quality.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience

  • 12+ years in a software/SaaS environment, including 10+ years in product management leadership, with 5+ years managing multiple products or a product family. Demonstrated, meaningful use of AI tools in your own PM workflow. You should be able to speak concretely to how AI has changed how you work, what it’s replaced, and where you’ve found its limits. Proven track record leading a team or organization through transformation — process, technology, and/or M&A — and translating long-term vision into shipped product strategy. Advanced industry and domain knowledge
  • ability to derive and apply product strategy across a product family on a 3–5 year horizon. Familiarity with accounting or financial management software — ideally fund accounting, nonprofit or government finance, or compliance-driven reporting — or the ability to ramp quickly in this domain.

Revenue fluency: ability to read customer signals as product priorities with business outcomes attached — including churn risk, deal blockers, and expansion opportunities. Advanced understanding of networks, databases, APIs, cloud infrastructure, and Agile practices

  • enough to reason about how technical choices affect product decisions. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with client focus and the ability to lead and influence in complex matrixed environments at all organizational levels. Strong experience with Jira
  • comfort with AI-assisted development and prototyping tools (e.g., Claude, Cursor, or similar) to validate concepts and accelerate decision-making. Experience working with Associations and/or Nonprofits is a plus.

What Sets You Apart: Visionary: Forms a clear, original point of view on where the market is going — and defines what the product category should become, rather than reacting to where it is today.

Transformational Leader: Builds trust and alignment across matrixed teams through influence, not authority

  • coaches and grows product leaders
  • and leads teams through change with rigor, empathy, and a relentless bias toward outcomes. Outcome-Focused: Draws a clear line from product decisions to customer success and business performance, and builds a team culture where shipping is the beginning of accountability, not the end. AI-Native: Treats AI as core infrastructure, not a feature. Uses it daily for research, synthesis, prioritization, and communication, and drives adoption across the team.

Association & Nonprofit Experience: Brings firsthand experience with associations and nonprofits, fluent in their operating realities and mission-driven priorities, and channels that insight into sharper product decisions.

Financially Fluent: Understands finance and accounting, or ramps quickly, to guide our Accounting product and translate domain knowledge into decisions that serve customers’ financial workflows.
