Senior Network Engineer responsible for managing and maintaining critical infrastructure systems including Active Directory, VMware virtualization, enterprise SAN, and network architecture for a large educational institution. This role provides essential system administration and project management oversight for complex multi-platform environments supporting over 185 servers.
Key Responsibilities: Administer Microsoft Active Directory and VMware vSphere virtual environments, manage enterprise SAN infrastructure with monitoring and troubleshooting, oversee VoIP systems, endpoint security, and virtual desktop environments, and lead system migrations and implementation projects. Maintain expertise in Cisco firewalls/switches, advanced network architecture, VLAN routing, and SQL database management.
Skills & Tools: Advanced proficiency in Active Directory, VMware vSphere, Cisco networking equipment, enterprise storage systems, VoIP technologies, and SQL database administration. Strong project management, system architecture design, and troubleshooting capabilities with experience in multiple virtualization and networking platforms.
Qualifications: Typically requires Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or related field with 5+ years of hands-on network and systems administration experience. Demonstrated expertise in enterprise infrastructure management, virtualization platforms, and networking technologies.

Compensation: $140K–$185K/yr (estimated)
Job Description
Provide system administration for Microsoft/Active Directory platforms. Manage a VMware Vsphere virtual server environment for over 185 servers. Provide support services for Enterprise SAN including monitoring, maintenance, and troubleshooting. Manage and maintain the video editing network and systems, VoIP phone system, endpoint security, and VMware VDI virtual desktop environment. Expertise in Cisco firewalls and switches, as well as advanced experience in network architecture and multiple VLAN routing. Expertise in SQL database management/maintenance. Provides project management and oversight for system migrations, implementation, and administration.
