Job Description

Dreamscape Learn, a pioneer in the realm of immersive virtual reality learning design, is seeking a creative and detail-oriented Art Generalist to assist in the creation of story-driven VR experiences in the world of science and education. To be successful, the Artist must be adept at using industry-standard software tools and have a proven track record of content creation in a professional capacity with one or more shipped titles under their belt.
In this role, you will model and texture game assets (objects and/or characters) and integrate them into the Unity game engine. You’re a strong generalist who enjoys taking on a variety of tasks—both independently and in close collaboration with other artists and developers.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Creative Director/Art Director to propose creative solutions, identify constraints, and provide feasibility recommendations.
  • Create high-quality 3D models and textures for real-time VR (props, environment assets, and/or characters).
  • Integrate assets into Unity, including prefab setup, scene hierarchy organization, and basic optimization as needed.
  • Work quickly and iteratively—providing frequent in-progress updates and incorporating feedback.
  • Review existing assets and scenes to suggest improvements, polish, and new asset needs.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with designers, engineers, and other artists to support interactive and story-driven moments.
  • Help maintain clean project organization (naming, folders, versioning clarity) and support production documentation where needed.
  • Bachelor's degree in Digital Art, Game Art & Design or related field.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in game development experience in Unity.
  • Solid understanding of game design concepts.
  • Proven track record of professional content creation, ideally with one or more shipped titles.
  • Strong 3D modeling + texturing skills.
  • Clear communication skills and a strong collaborative, team-first working style.
  • Extensive experience using 3D modeling software.
  • Deep understanding of the necessary software tools.
  • Highly creative and passion in visual effects
  • Excellent computer skills as well as great attention to detail
  • Exceptional work ethic and time management skills
  • Strong interpersonal communication and collaboration skills

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Animation, rigging and vfx along with modeling/texture experience.
  • Shaders in Unity.
  • Setting up animation controllers and state machines.
  • Different terrain types in Unity.
  • Setting up in game VFX.
  • Use a combination of different software to arrive at a solution to a given task.
  • Matte painting experience is a plus
