The Manager, Instruction & Program Delivery is responsible for the front-line leadership, performance, and engagement of Kaplan’s instructional faculty. This role ensures the high-quality fulfillment of live and synchronous learning programs by matching expert teaching talent with student demand across retail and institutional channels. The Manager serves as a primary point of contact for faculty support and a strategic partner to Sales and Customer Success teams, occasionally acting as an instructional subject matter expert to help customize programs for institutional clients. By balancing talent development with operational precision, the Manager ensures a seamless and equitable experience for students while maintaining strict fiscal oversight of instructional expenses. Primary/Key Responsibilities Faculty Performance & Engagement: Manage a pool of part-time instructional talent, providing consistent coaching, performance feedback, and professional development to ensure elite student outcomes and high NPS. Instructional Placement & Resource Optimization: Oversee the strategic assignment of teachers to classes and tutoring sessions. This includes either directly executing assignments or providing expert guidance to Coordinators to ensure the "best-fit" instructor is placed based on product expertise and student needs. Operational Implementation: Partner with multiple teams to launch new classes and programs, ensuring all instructional requirements (staffing, materials, and tech readiness) are met prior to the first session. Instructional Quality Auditing: Facilitate the feedback for regular observations and audits of live sessions to ensure adherence to our instructional rubric, providing corrective action or additional training where necessary. Payroll & Fiscal Oversight: Review and approve faculty payroll for accuracy and compliance with budgetary guidelines, managing variable instructional costs to protect departmental margins. Recruitment & Talent Pipeline: Identify and evaluate potential new instructional talent, participating in the interview and onboarding process to maintain a robust and diverse teacher pool. Service Delivery Support: Act as a secondary point of contact for student or instructor issues during live sessions, collaborating with Delivery Assurance to resolve disruptions and maintain service continuity. Institutional Sales Partnership: Collaborate with Institutional Sales and Customer Success teams to design and customize instructional delivery plans for specific clients. Occasionally participate in customer calls as a subject matter expert to speak to Kaplan's instructional methodology and delivery quality. Feedback Loop & Product Improvement: Synthesize faculty and student feedback to provide actionable insights to Content and Product teams, helping to refine and improve instructional materials and delivery platforms. Data Management & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of instructor availability, performance metrics, and class outcomes in internal business systems to support departmental capacity planning. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree 4 experience in educational management Demonstrated leadership skills Excellent communication skills Ability to streamline processes and a high degree of organizational skills. For full-time positions, Kaplan has three Salary Grades. This position is Salary Grade B: $64,819 to $162,047. The specific compensation offered will be determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to the candidate's qualifications, relevant experience, education, skills, and market data.
