Lead senior-level internal audit functions for Chegg's business controls across US SOX and India ICFR frameworks. This role ensures regulatory compliance and strengthens the organization's internal control environment across finance, operations, and compliance domains.

Key Responsibilities: Design and execute business process control audits, develop Risk & Control Matrices, perform control testing for design and operating effectiveness, and manage remediation with process owners. Act as liaison between Internal Audit, Finance, Operations, and external auditors while monitoring process changes for control impact.
Skills & Tools: Expert knowledge of SOX 404 and PCAOB standards, IT systems and application controls, risk assessment, root cause analysis, and stakeholder management. Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and maintain multiple priorities.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in accounting, IT, CIS, or equivalent experience with 5-7 years in SOX, IT Audit, or Big 4 public accounting. Preferred certifications include CISA/CIA; additional experience with ERP systems (NetSuite, Salesforce, RevPro), AWS, and ISO 27001 is advantageous.

Job Description Senior Internal Auditor – Business Controls (SOX & ICFR India) Internal Audit | Delhi, India At Chegg, we’re on a mission to improve education and make a meaningful impact on students’ lives. We’re looking for a Senior Internal Auditor – Business Controls to strengthen our internal control environment across both US SOX and India ICFR frameworks. This role is ideal for someone who can operate at the intersection of finance, operations, and compliance—bringing structure, rigor, and strong stakeholder influence. Why join us? What you’ll do: Lead and execute business process control audits aligned with SOX (US) and ICFR (India) requirements Design, document, and maintain Risk & Control Matrices (RCMs), including risk assessment and control mapping Define audit scope, identify key risks, and develop testing strategies for end-to-end business processes – key and non-key Perform and oversee control testing (design and operating effectiveness), including walkthroughs and sampling Evaluate control deficiencies, perform root cause analysis, and drive remediation with process owners Partner with Finance, Operations, and cross-functional stakeholders to strengthen the control environment Ensure alignment and consistency between US SOX and India ICFR frameworks Review workpapers and ensure high-quality documentation in line with audit standards Support external audits and act as a key point of contact for auditors Monitor business/process changes and assess impact on internal controls What we’re looking for: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Information Technology, Computer Information Systems, or equivalent experience. 5 - 7 years in SOX / IT Audit / Public Accounting (Big 4 preferred) Strong knowledge of SOX 404, PCAOB standards Experience with IT systems, application controls, and financial processes Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accountability.
