They enable hundreds of transportation directors to save thousands of dollars every year by running all facets of their operations entirely through their intuitive, easy-to-use platform.
BusPlanner is looking for an Account Executive to join their dynamic sales team. This pivotal role will be instrumental in growing BusPlanner’s presence across key markets in the United States. As a founding Account Executive, this individual will have the unique opportunity to shape the company’s sales team and be given significant responsibility to help build and grow the business.
The ideal candidate will be a proven hunter with a successful track record in K-12 technology sales. This individual will be a trailblazer with an entrepreneurial spirit and the aspiration to help drive explosive growth. This impactful position reports directly to the leadership team, which is comprised of seasoned SaaS executives with extensive experience in scaling businesses across North America.
Major Responsibilities
- Prospect and generate new business opportunities through cold calling, networking, and other lead generation activities
- Build and nurture relationships with transportation directors and decision-makers in the K-12 education sector
- Conduct product demonstrations and presentations to showcase the value and capabilities of BusPlanner’s suite of software solutions
- Collaborate with the marketing and sales teams to develop and execute strategies for targeting potential clients
- Manage the sales cycle from initial contact to closing the deal, ensuring a smooth and successful onboarding process for new clients
- Participate in the design and implementation of systems and processes including the development of the CRM and other tracking systems
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of sales activities and client interactions in the CRM system
- Keep current on industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments to identify new business opportunities
Preferred Qualifications
- Proven track record securing net-new business in EdTech sales
- Strong familiarity with the K-12 education sector
- Self-starting high performer with a strong work ethic
- Skilled in articulating complex software solutions to diverse audiences
- Expertise in developing strong relationships with clients and providing tailored solutions
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and work effectively cross-functionally
- Successful experience working in a remote role
