Position Summary
We are seeking a talented, creative, and ambitious individual to join our YU Global course production team as a full-time Instructional Designer. The ideal candidate will have foundational experience in using the Articulate 360 design suite (including Rise and Storyline), focusing on course development, content editing, and quality assurance. This position will work alongside our senior Online Learning and Instructional Design Specialist, who will provide direction, guidance, and mentorship. This position can be fully remote or hybrid (with two days per week on-site at our Upper Manhattan campus) and offers a competitive salary with a full range of benefits.
Position Responsibilities
Course Development:
- Design and develop eLearning courses using Rise and Storyline.
- Create interactive learning experiences with tools such as H5P.
- Apply adult learning theories to ensure content is engaging and effective.
Content Editing And Proofreading
- Review and edit course content for clarity, accuracy, and professional standards of grammar and language.
Quality Assurance
- Conduct quality assurance checks on learning materials to ensure they meet organizational standards.
- Implement feedback from reviews and update content as necessary.
Collaboration
- Work closely with subject matter experts, senior instructional designers, and other team members to support comprehensive learning solutions.
- Contribute feedback for continuous improvement of instructional design practices.
Experience & Educational Background
- Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, or a related field.
- 1-2 years of experience in instructional design, eLearning development, or a related role.
- Proficiency in using Storyline and Articulate 360.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degree or certification in Instructional Design, Education, or a related field.
- Familiarity with AI technology and eLearning development tools.
- Experience with Universal Design for Learning (UDL) and Accessibility standards.
If selected for the interview stage, candidates will be asked to complete a short project which they will present at their interview.
Skills & Competencies
- Basic understanding of adult learning theories and instructional design principles.
- Strong editing and proofreading skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Salary Range
$55,000 - $65,000
