We’re looking for a PM to lead our Design Systems Foundations product team. This PM will empower other teams within Figma to leverage libraries and design system concepts for use cases across Figma’s suite of products. As we’ve advanced our Design Systems capabilities, this product area, codebase and tech stack have become incredibly complicated, and we need a seasoned PM to simplify it and redefine our architecture in an intuitive and scalable way. This Product Manager has the opportunity to not just move the needle, but accelerate us into our next phase of growth as a multi-product company.
This is a full time role that can be held from one of our US hubs or remotely in the United States.
What you'll do at Figma:
- Talk to Product teams across Figma to identify and synthesize the highest impact design systems platform initiatives into a cohesive vision and strategy
- Work with our Engineering team to deeply understand the current state of our design systems codebase, identify areas of improvements, and define requirements to move these forward
- Collaborate with other Product Managers, Research, Engineering, and Data Science teams to gather user feedback on areas of complexity with design systems
- Grow your career in an engaged, creative, and thoughtful community
We’d love to hear from you if you have:
- 4+ years of experience as a full-time Product Manager
- Experience working on APIs, platform products, or projects involving complex technical systems
- Experience successfully launching complex, user-facing products
- An eye for the detail, both in terms of user experience and the technical nuances
While it’s not required, it’s an added plus if you also have:
- Past experience as a software engineer
- An understanding of design systems
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, scrappy environment
- Ability to communicate clearly at different altitudes, including driving alignment with senior stakeholders
At Figma, one of our values is Grow as you go. We believe in hiring smart, curious people who are excited to learn and develop their skills. If you’re excited about this role but your past experience doesn’t align perfectly with the points outlined in the job description, we encourage you to apply anyways. You may be just the right candidate for this or other roles.
