Summary
Join College Board as an Engineer IV to design and deliver scalable software solutions for BigFuture products that empower millions of students in their educational and career journeys. This role combines UI and full-stack development with mentorship and technical leadership opportunities.
Key Responsibilities: Design and deliver high-quality, scalable software solutions; collaborate with product owners, architects, and designers to translate ideas into student-facing solutions; mentor teammates and champion Agile, CI/CD, and DevOps best practices.
Skills & Tools: Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, React, Node.js, and AWS; strong problem-solving abilities; effective communication, mentorship, and collaborative skills; understanding of backend systems, APIs, and cloud-native practices.
Qualifications: 4-6 years of production-level software development experience with demonstrated leadership in UI design and implementation. Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and troubleshoot beyond the UI layer.
Location: Fully remote from Virginia, United States; occasional travel to NYC or Reston, VA office required 3-5 times per year.
Compensation: $137,000 – $148,000/year
