About the role
The PK-12 Education Regulatory Compliance Analyst plays a vital role in ensuring products and content adhere to relevant laws, regulations, reviews and standards for education and accessibility. This position involves monitoring regulatory changes, conducting compliance audits, communicating changes to appropriate teams, managing approval processes and providing guidance to mitigate compliance risks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Stay up-to-date with federal, state and local regulations affecting education, special education, accessibility and other related topics
- Stay abreast of the latest trends and legislation in education according to customer need and education policies/standards
- Analyze new and changing regulations and assess their impact on the company’s policies and practices
- Conduct audits to review compliance with educational and accessibility regulatory requirements and standards
- Manage the development, delivery and maintenance of compliance policies and procedures
- Develop and deliver compliance training programs for internal team members
- Manage processes for state or district instructional material approvals
- Provide guidance and support on compliance-related issues and inquiries from various departments
- Prepare compliance reports for senior management and regulatory bodies as required
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of compliance activities and findings
- Liaise with regulatory bodies, accrediting agencies, and external auditors as needed
Essential Criteria
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Education Law, Educational Policy or a related field.
- Experience with compliance processes and standards
- Demonstrated understanding of regulatory frameworks in the education sector
- Proven analytical and problem-solving skills
Desired Criteria:
- Advanced degree or certification in educational compliance or related areas is a plus.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented and able to prioritize tasks
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
