Stepful is seeking a Software Engineer with 3+ years of full-stack experience to help build innovative healthcare training solutions that empower underserved communities. This role involves developing a Learning Management System, enhancing career services, and leveraging AI technologies.

Responsibilities: Key responsibilities include developing and iterating on the Learning Management System, enhancing job-seeking services for graduates, designing platforms for internal stakeholders, managing content generation, and ensuring reliable data pipelines.

Skills: Candidates must possess strong skills in full-stack technologies, particularly React, Typescript, Ruby on Rails, and PostgreSQL.

Qualifications: Preferred candidates have experience in direct-to-consumer startups, especially in EdTech or Healthcare, and a strong desire to make a meaningful impact.

Location: This position is located at 408 Broadway, Floor 5, New York, NY.

Compensation: $140000 - $180000 / Annually

What you can expect to be working on:

• World Class Learning Experience: Develop and iterate on an advanced Learning Management System that generates outcomes! Focus on seamless UX, adaptive learning, peer-to-peer engagement, gamification and motivational mechanisms.
• Innovative Career Services: Empower graduates to find jobs and match our growing network of clinical partners. Apply generative AI to the job-seeking process, from resume generation to interview training.
• Empower the Internal Workforce: Design and maintain platforms for instructors, TAs, coaches, and operators to optimize student success. Leverage generative AI to maximize its impact on students' lives.
• Cutting Edge Content Management: Generate and maintain content at scale that adapts to evolving educational needs. Build the technology to create new curricula in a fraction of the time and iterate to maxixmize students' learning.
• Data Pipelines: Make data reliable and accessible to everyone at Stepful, and empower the business, learning, and operation teams at Stepful to make data-driven decisions.

This job is for you if you have:

• 3+ years of full-stack engineering experience
• Eat, sleep and breathe at least one of part of our stack (React, Typescript, Ruby on Rails, PostgreSQL), you will learn the rest
• Relentlessly obsess over solving complex problems with cutting-edge technology and willing to learn something new every day
• Find excitement in joining an early-stage company and are not afraid of building something new
• Are strongly driven to make an impact in people's lives
• Have built something meaningful to you, before
• Can take ownership of the whole development lifecycle (this means you are comfortable operating full-stack)

Bonus points if:

• You have previous experience in a direct-to-consumer startup, especially within EdTech/Healthcare

Interview Process:

Step 1: Intro Call with Talent Acquisition

Step 2: Non-technical interview with Hiring Manager

Step 3: Fullstack Live Coding (remote)

Step 4: Onsite interview with both technical and non-technical assessment

Compensation for this role will fall within the pay range listed and will be determined based on job-related factors including, but not limited to, skills, experience, qualifications as well as interview evaluation. Ranges are market-dependent and may be modified in the future.
