Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Marketing, or related field with 2+ years of writing/editing experience in advertising/marketing, plus 3-5 years of copywriting experience focused on digital marketing, paid social media, video content, and/or brand campaigns.

Description SUMMARY: Stride, Inc. is seeking a Paid Media Copywriter (Contract) whose skills combine brand storytelling with engaging, effective social media execution. This role partners with designers and video producers/editors and works closely with the Integrated Marketing and Paid Media/Demand Generation teams to create paid media ad campaigns that support the K12 brand, educational and technology-focused products, and our portfolio of managed public schools. The goal is to help drive student enrollment and increase audience engagement.

Develop compelling copy concepts, scripts, and messaging for paid media campaigns Generate multiple creative hooks and script variations, moving efficiently from ideation to execution Write platform-native scripts, overlays, headlines, and supporting copy for TikTok, Meta, Pinterest, LinkedIn, YouTube, and other digital channels Collaborate with designers and video producers to ensure copy and creative work together effectively Provide copy and script recommendations during video production as needed Use campaign performance insights to propose creative variations and optimization opportunities Review creative performance data and develop iterative versions of successful concepts Stay informed on current social media trends, content formats, and platform best practices Ensure messaging aligns with campaign objectives, creative strategy, and brand guidelines

Supervisory Responsibilities: This position has no required supervisory responsibilities.

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's Degree in English, Communications, Marketing, or related field AND 2+ years of writing/editing experience in advertising or marketing OR Equivalent combination of education and experience

OTHER REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: 3-5 years of copywriting experience focused on digital marketing, paid social media, video content, and/or brand campaigns Strong portfolio demonstrating effective copy across social, digital, video, email, and web channels Understanding of how copy and visual creative work together to drive engagement and performance Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment Strong attention to detail and ability to incorporate feedback efficiently Comfortable working collaboratively with creative teams and marketing stakeholders Familiarity with AI-powered tools that support ideation, content development, or workflow efficiency Ability to clear required background check

Compensation & Benefits: Stride, Inc. considers a person’s education, experience, and qualifications, as well as the position’s work location, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value when determining a new employee’s salary level. Salaries will differ based on these factors, the position’s level and expected contribution, and the employee’s benefits elections. Offers will typically be in the bottom half of the range. We anticipate this position will pay $16.82 - $60.00 per hour. This is a temporary/contractor role, and you will be an employee of Workspend. This salary is not guaranteed, as an individual’s compensation can vary based on several factors. These factors include, but are not limited to, geographic location, experience, training, education, and local market conditions.
