Seasonal HR Assistant supporting Lakeshore Learning Materials' Human Resources team in Garland, Utah. This role maintains employee records, processes HR data, and provides administrative support across benefits, payroll, hiring, and compliance functions.

Key Responsibilities: Maintain and audit employee records via HRIS and Excel, generate regular and ad hoc HR reports, provide employee support, assist with payroll processing, coordinate hiring activities and onboarding, and support employer-sponsored events.
Skills & Tools: Proficiency in Excel, HRIS systems, and data entry; strong organizational and administrative abilities; excellent communication and customer service skills; ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required; prior HR, administrative, or data management experience preferred. Attention to detail, reliability, and ability to handle confidential employee information essential.
Location: In-Person - Garland, UT
Compensation: $28K–$38K/yr (estimated)

Shift: Monday-Friday, 10:00am – 6:30pm 

A day on the job looks like this:

  • Assisting with the maintenance of employee records for our DC3 associate population 
  • Auditing and updating employee data via HRIS reporting and Excel 
  • Running regular and ad hoc reports for HR and management 
  • Employee Support: Assisting employees with their questions, escalating where appropriate.   
  • Supporting the HR team with project-based work related to benefits, HRIS, compliance, etc.  
  • Administrative tasks: Preparing correspondence, reports, and other documentation, maintaining records and files, and entering and processing financial data   
  • Payroll: Assisting with payroll functions as needed  
  • Hiring: Coordinating hiring activities, assisting with new employee setup, training, and onboarding, and schedules  
  • Events: Coordinating employer-sponsored events, assisting at events   
  • Completing other tasks as needed by the department
