Role Snapshot

The OCCS Classroom Central Engineer provides technical expertise to support the University's academic environment by researching, implementing, and configuring classroom technology equipment. This role manages media technology projects from design through installation, ensuring optimal functionality of instructional technology systems.

Key Responsibilities: Design and implement classroom technology systems, manage media technology projects including scope definition and procurement, and provide in-house control system programming as needed. Day-to-day duties include working with customers to understand requirements, bidding/procuring equipment, and facilitating system installations.
Skills & Tools: Strong technical knowledge of classroom and media technology systems, control system programming, project management, and system design capabilities. Excellent communication and customer service skills required for stakeholder coordination throughout project lifecycle.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a technology-related field or equivalent professional experience with classroom/media technology systems. Demonstrated experience with AV system design, implementation, and control system programming preferred.
Location: In-Person
Compensation: $95K–$145K/yr (estimated)
