Role Snapshot
ELA and Humanities Instructional Coach at Envision Education in San Francisco will enhance teaching practices and student achievement in a diverse college preparatory school environment by supporting teachers in exemplary pedagogy, curriculum development, and professional learning.
Key Responsibilities: Coach will support teachers with curriculum implementation, student work analysis, formative assessment data analysis, professional development delivery, and model lessons while mentoring intern and induction-year teachers. The Coach will lead unit and lesson planning, instructional inquiry cycles, and work with school leadership to identify coherent resources for curriculum, instruction, and assessment.
Skills & Tools: Strong background in English Language Arts and Humanities, expertise in standards-based curriculum design, experience with formative assessment analysis, and ability to lead professional learning communities. Deep commitment to equity, anti-racist and pro-Black frameworks, and delivering rigorous instruction to diverse learner groups are essential.
Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree and valid California Teaching Credential required, with 5+ years experience as an instructional coach or classroom teacher demonstrating a record of student achievement, particularly in diverse settings.
Location: San Francisco, California
Compensation: $90K–$105K/yr
