Role Snapshot
The College Access Advising Specialist supports high school students through personalized coaching and guidance to navigate the college application process and access higher education opportunities. This role directly impacts student success by helping underserved populations achieve their educational goals.
Key Responsibilities: Provide direct student support including coaching, college curriculum delivery, and milestone tracking for a caseload of up to 160 students. Lead workshops, maintain ongoing communication, conduct 1:1 meetings both virtually and in-person on high school campuses, and coordinate student and family events.
Skills & Tools: Proficiency in computer software, exemplary communication skills, strong interpersonal abilities, and experience advising or coaching students from underserved populations.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree preferred with 1-3 years of related work experience in teaching, mentoring, or advising high school students.
Location: Portland, Oregon
Compensation: $40K–$60K/yr
