Role Snapshot
Lead the development of Tuva Jr., a K-5 data literacy instructional program, by creating curriculum, resources, and professional development for math educators globally. This role bridges data science education with elementary mathematics instruction, impacting millions of teachers and students.
Key Responsibilities: Develop and curate instructional content, datasets, and lessons aligned to national/state math standards; create educator resources including guides and tutorials; engage with the teacher community to support Tuva integration; and build partnerships with academic institutions and research organizations.
Skills & Tools: Strong understanding of data analysis, statistics, and foundational mathematical concepts; demonstrated ability to design cross-disciplinary, integrated curriculum; excellent communication and collaboration skills; passion for online learning and educator empowerment.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or higher in Math Education, Curriculum Design, Instructional Design, or equivalent field required. 3-5 years of successful classroom experience teaching elementary mathematics and science.
Location: In-Person - New York, NY
Compensation: Not provided by employer. Typical compensation for this role is $62,000 – $82,000/year based on title, seniority, and location.

As a K-5 Math Education Specialist, your responsibilities include but aren’t limited to:
- Leading the development of the Tuva Jr. instructional program, including curating datasets and authoring lessons aligned to various national and state mathematics standards.
- Creating resources such as example guides, video tutorials, and detailed walkthroughs to help math educators effectively integrate and use Tuva in their instruction.
- Engaging with our community of math educators globally to successfully incorporate Tuva into their instructional practice.
- Developing ways to improve on our current online and in-person professional development and train-the-trainer programs.
- Initiating and fostering partnerships with academic institutions, research organizations, and other community groups to help educators around the world teach and students learn foundational data literacy concepts and skills using Tuva.
About You:
- Have a BS, MS, PhD, or Ed.M in Math Education, Curriculum Design, Instructional Design, or Equivalent
- Have a strong understanding and knowledge of foundational data analysis and statistics concepts and skills
- Have 3-5 years of successful classroom experience teaching elementary math and science
- Have demonstrable ability to create cross-disciplinary curriculum or instructional activities that integrates concepts and skills from a variety of subject areas and topics
- Able to communicate clearly and effectively with team members, educators, and our partners across the education ecosystem
- Are passionate about online learning and empowering educators to create powerful, memorable learning experiences for their students
