About the role / Overview

At InformedK12 we are rapidly growing our impact in K12 public school systems across the country. We’re looking for a curious and strategic marketing leader with strong business acumen and proven product marketing and lead generation skills. The person in this role will report to the CEO and will be instrumental in shaping our narrative and driving thought leadership region-by-region while developing and executing comprehensive demand generation strategies to drive pipeline growth and ARR.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop, refine, and implement comprehensive go-to-market strategies and awareness campaigns for new markets.
  • Craft compelling messaging and positioning that effectively communicates our value proposition to target audiences, adapting to each new territory as we launch, network, and build momentum.
  • Coordinate cross-functionally to create and execute marketing campaigns across various channels including email marketing, content marketing, events, social media, and more.
  • Together with our client-facing teams, develop and execute an account-based marketing (ABM) strategy that targets high-value prospects in alignment with pipeline generation goals.
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities, create compelling narratives for prospects and clients, and establish our point of view as a thought leader.
  • Create sales enablement materials such as presentations, white papers, and case studies to support the sales team in driving revenue growth.
  • Monitor, analyze, and report on key metrics and performance indicators to optimize marketing strategies, messaging, demand generation trends, and campaign-specific metrics to improve overall effectiveness.

What we’re looking for

  • 8+ years of experience taking SaaS products to market, capable of running and leading discrete functions alone or with direct reports.
  • Strong understanding of marketing principles and techniques, with a focus on product marketing, product positioning, messaging, and segmentation.
  • Strong experience in demand generation, events, and account-based marketing principles and techniques, with a focus on scaling programs in support of growth goals.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to articulate complex concepts in a clear and concise manner.
  • Analytical mindset with proficiency in analyzing data and drawing actionable insights.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and drive projects to successful completion.
  • Demonstrated ability to align marketing priorities and tactics with high level company strategy and goals, effectively outline ideas and present business cases for resource/budget allocation.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and optimize marketing operations processes to improve efficiency and visibility across the funnel.
  • Passion for technology innovation, with a desire to make a meaningful impact in public education.
  • You’re willing to travel ~25% to attend industry events and conferences and for in-person time in our Oakland headquarters.

Preferred qualifications

  • Startup experience; you’re a self-starter with bias for action and are comfortable operating semi-autonomously.
  • Experience creating and branding new market segments or product categories.
  • Bonus points if you have worked with public organizations, government, K12, higher education, and/or SLED.
