The Impact Manager leads and develops a team of AmeriCorps members as emerging leaders and practitioners implementing City Year's Whole School Whole Child service model in partner schools. This role is critical to strengthening schools and improving student academic and interpersonal outcomes.

Key Responsibilities: Manages and develops AmeriCorps members as idealistic leaders while implementing City Year's school-based service model and practices. Reports to an Impact Director, works from partner school(s), and supports AmeriCorps members through their year of service as a talent developer.
Skills & Tools: Requires strong team leadership, talent development, and program management capabilities with expertise in supporting emerging leaders. Must demonstrate ability to work collaboratively in school environments and implement evidence-based educational service models.
Qualifications: Typical qualifications include prior experience managing teams or leading educational initiatives, strong organizational and communication skills, and commitment to City Year's mission of educational opportunity and youth leadership development. Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience preferred.
Location: In-Person - Boston, MA
Compensation: Not provided by employer. Typical compensation for this role is $48,000 – $62,000/year based on title, seniority, nonprofit sector, and Boston-area market rates.

Number of Positions: 1 Position Overview Impact Manager (IM) leads and develops a team of AmeriCorps members (ACMs) as idealistic, emerging leaders and practitioners focused on strengthening schools and supporting students to improve performance. Reporting to an Impact Director and working from a partner school(s), the IM plays a critical role in implementing City Year’s school-based Whole School Whole Child (WSWC) service model, mission, and practices. The IM is also an effective talent developer who will support AmeriCorps members through a challenging and rewarding year of service.
