The Fixed Asset Manager provides leadership over fixed asset accounting functions and maintains accuracy of the Banner fixed asset module at Old Dominion University. This role ensures compliance and accuracy in tracking institutional assets, equipment trust funds, leases, and related financial records.
Key Responsibilities: Maintain and ensure accuracy of the Banner fixed asset module, prepare and review journal entries and financial reports, and compile complex financial data and reconciliations related to fixed assets, equipment trust funds, inventory, leases, SBITAs, and aggregate assets. Provide operational and analytical support to the Associate Controller and University Controller.
Skills & Tools: Advanced proficiency with Banner ERP system and fixed asset accounting software, strong analytical and reconciliation skills, and expertise in financial reporting and data compilation. Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to senior management.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field with 3-5+ years of experience in fixed asset accounting or university accounting operations. Knowledge of lease accounting standards (ASC 842/GASB 87) and familiarity with higher education accounting practices preferred.

Compensation: $55Kβ$75K/yr (estimated)
